Town Government and Administration

The Town of Silverton is a statutory municipality governed by a board of seven elected officials.  The Town provides fiscal managment of tax payer dollars, water and sewer service, road maintenance, park maintenance, planning and zoning, liquor license enforcement, business and animal licenses, and building.  The Town also funds the local library and the Visitors Center.  

Silverton works in partnership with San Juan County, San Juan Development Association, Region 9, the Southwest Transportation Planning Commission, Area Agency on Aging, Southwest Basin Roundtable, and a variety of other agencies.
